國外有熱心網友做了個網站，叫：How to professionally say...

也就是，原本簡單的一句話，怎樣用英文更委婉甚至更煞有介事地說。

比如，心裡的獨白是：

That sounds like a horrible idea.

但不要這麼說，「職業」一點，換成：

Are we confident that this is the best solution or are we still exploring alternatives?

還如，心裡想的是：

Stop assigning me so many tasks if you want any of them to get done.

嘴上得換成：

As my workload is quite heavy, can you help me understand what I should reprioritize to accommodate this new task?

嗯…

怎麼越看越感覺這是個國外版的「低情商 vs 高情商」？

我是大概一個月前在 Hacker News 看到這個開源項目，當時開發者剛上線網站，內容還是以搞笑、諷刺的居多，就是想皮一下那種。

後來，項目在 Hacker News、Reddit 火了一陣，關注量大增，也有更多網友參與進來，內容慢慢也變正式不少，如作者在項目 GitHub 介紹所說：

Based on the responses there it seems like what I started as fun activity can be something more than I thought.

I'll be looking into the possibilities of improving the content to make it less satire and more appropriate for most of the people out there.

當時留意這個網站，主要是圖個樂子，然後還覺得當時條目內容大多可作為簡明英文的反面範本來用。

沒想到一月余過去，網站改頭換面，變化不少，作者建站的心態、目標似乎也與當初不同。

這麼看來，除了找找樂子，或許也真能從網站條目有所收穫呢。
