在首字母均大寫的標題或專有名詞中，實詞首字母大寫；
虛詞五個字母以上（含五個）的介詞和連詞，首字母大寫。
例如：
Take Targeted Measures Against Poverty
中的 against；副詞要大寫
例如：
See sb. Off 中的 off。
冒號後面若是獨立句子，則句首字母大寫；
若是詞組則小寫。
例如：
Judges have a double duty: They must protect the innocent and punish the guilty.
The string section consists of four instruments: violin, viola, cello, and bass.
特定專有名詞首字母大寫，不加引號。
例如：
Deng Xiaoping Theory, Scientific Outlook on Development, Cultural Revolution, the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the War to resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, People’s Commune Movement 等。
標題或文件名中，兩個或兩個以上實體字作形容詞用的，兩個實體詞首字母均大寫。
例如：
13th Five-Year Plan ;
而在正文中，則用13th Five-year Plan。
與人名相連的職務名稱，均大寫。
例如：President Obama。
未與人名相連的職務名稱，均小寫。
例如：president of Russia, vice minister of the Ministry of Culture; Wei Lihuang, deputy commander of the Second War Zone。
請注意：Mr President 等是省略了後面的人名，President 需要首大。
機構、組織、公司、部門的縮寫一般要大寫。
例如：FBI, IBM, WHO, UNESCO
也有例外的，比如物聯網，英語全稱：Internet of Things，縮寫IoT
