2022年2月25日，拜登總統提名凱坦吉·布朗·傑克遜(Ketanji Brown Jackson)法官出任美國最高法院第116任大法官。

「今天，在我們看到自由與自由權在國外遭到攻擊之時，我在此履行我在憲法下的責任，保護在美利堅合眾國這裡的自由與自由權。」拜登總統表示，「我很榮幸向全美介紹一位前公立學校教師之女、一位被證明是促成共識的人、一位頗有建樹的律師、一位來自美國最負盛名的法院之一的優秀法學家。我提名凱坦吉·傑克遜法官出任美國最高法院大法官。」

傑克遜法官目前在美國哥倫比亞特區聯邦巡迴上訴法院任職，擁有強有力、廣泛的法律職業經驗 。

拜登總統在推特上表示：「我敬佩這些品質：共和黨總統以及民主黨總統提名的法學家身上的務實、歷史視角、智慧和品格。今天，我很高興提名凱坦吉·布朗·傑克遜法官——一位延續這一傳統的候選人。」

President Biden Nominated Judge Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court

On February 25, 2022, President Biden nominated Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to become the 116th Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court.

「Today, as we watch freedom and liberty under attack abroad, I’m here to fulfill my responsibilities under the Constitution to preserve freedom and liberty here in the United States of America,」 said President Biden, 「And it’s my honor to introduce to the country a daughter of former public school teachers, a proven consensus builder, an accomplished lawyer, a distinguished jurist on one of the nation’s most prestigious courts. My nominee for the United States Supreme Court is Judge Ketanji Jackson.」

Judge Jackson is currently serving on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and has strong, broad experience across the legal profession.

President Biden said on Twitter, 「I have admired these traits: pragmatism, historical perspective, wisdom, and character in jurists nominated by Republican presidents as well as Democratic presidents. And today, I am pleased to nominate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson — a candidate who continues in this tradition. 」
