A 30-year-old IT professional from Germany hopes to break an unusual Guinness World Record--

So much that he doesn't even notice he's still hula-hooping.

Kai was inspired to give this a whirl himself after seeing a video of the former record holder on Facebook.

凱在Facebook上看到前紀錄保持者的視頻後受到啟發,決定自己也嘗試一下。

At first, his friends and family did not take him seriously.

起初,他的朋友和家人並不把這當回事。

So to prove them wrong, he trained intensively before and after work every day to almost double the former record of 3.14 minutes.

因此,為了證明他們是錯的,他每天工作前後都進行高強度訓練,時間幾乎是之前3.14分鐘紀錄的兩倍。

To make his performance count, Kai had to be filmed from several different angles.

And he had to have two witnesses present and perform at a public place...

In his case, the gym of a nearby school.
