The Global Human Settlements Awards are annual worldwide awards established by the Global Forum on Human Settlements (GFHS) in 2005 to promote the United Nations' concept of sustainable development and the purpose of GFHS. The award provides a high-level interactive platform for the sharing and dissemination of best practices of knowledge and experience in the industry, which has produced a significant demonstration effect.
「中國川西林盤非遺（馬椅子)工坊更新」項目
獲獎的「中國川西林盤非遺（馬椅子)工坊更新」項目，位於成都都江堰青城山鎮芒城村15組。整個工坊採用全手工竹製，沒有一顆釘子。建築師劉衛兵說，借鑑了千年歷史的川西林盤傳統被動式節能設計策略，整個項目營造出了舒適的微氣候和多樣空間。
The award-winning project of "Renovation of Linpan Intangible Cultural Heritage (Horse Chair) Workshop in Western Sichuan, China" is located in Group 15, Mangcheng Village, Mount Qingcheng Town, Dujiangyan, Chengdu. The workshop is builtentirely of hand-made bamboo without a single nail. Drawing on the traditional passive energy-saving design strategies of Linpan in western Sichuan, which has a history of 1,000 years, architect Liu Weibing says the whole project creates a comfortable microclimate and diverse spaces.

今年53歲的劉衛兵，是地道的成都人，從小在林盤中長大自幼學習國畫的他，幾乎所有作品都是關於林盤的兒時記憶。
Liu Weibing, 53 years old this year, is a native of Chengdu. He grew up in Linpan and studied Chinese painting since he was in his childhood.Almost all his works are about his childhood memories of Linpan.
因為對林盤的深厚感情，劉衛兵三十年來堅守對本土傳統鄉村聚落的研究和實踐，構建出自己的獨特建築語境。
Because of his deep affection for Linpan, Liu Weibing has been adhering to theresearch and practice of local traditional rural settlements for 30 years, and has constructed his own unique architectural context.
劉衛兵說在成都平原上的農田周圍，鑲嵌着大大小小的林盤，這些千年天府文明的生態居住聚落，不僅是成都平原鄉村生活的活化石，更包含了異常豐富的蜀人生活密碼。
Liu Weibing said that around the farmland in Chengdu Plain, there are Linpans of various sizes. These ecological settlements of Tianfu civilization for thousands of years are not only living fossils of rural life in Chengdu Plain, but also containing exceptionally rich living styles of Shu people.

為了探尋川西林盤的前世今生，Chengdu Plus曾製作了紀錄片——《川西林盤，成都人的精神原鄉》。通過建築師劉衛兵、林盤原住民毛強，還有來成都創業的台灣人黃顯妘的故事，揭開了川西林盤內涵豐富的千年密碼。
In order to explore the past and present life of Linpan in western Sichuan, Chengdu Plus made a documentary -Linpan in Western Sichuan, The Spiritual Homeland of Chengdu People. Through the story of architect Liu Weibing, Linpan aborigine MaoQiang, and Huang Xianyun from Taiwan, China,who came to Chengdu, the millennium code with rich connotation of Linpan in western Sichuan has been revealed.
