本期特刊主題

The Journal of Human Nutrition and Dietetics is calling for submissions of original research, reviews, and commentaries that help scholars and professionals in the field to contribute toward sustainable food systems and dietary patterns in a way that is evidence-based. All submissions should focus on sustainability, clearly defined, sustainable food systems and/or dietary patterns in the context of nutrition and dietetic practice.

We welcome submissions on topics such as:

Sustainable and healthy dietary guidelines, including perceived trade-offs or contradictions

Diverse concepts of sustainable food systems and diets across cultures and geographies, and how these relate to nutrition and dietetic practice

Clinical implications of sustainable dietary guidelines in assessment and management of malnutrition

The relationship between sustainable food systems and diets, and the multiple burdens of malnutrition, globally.

Nutrition and dietetic education and training in the context of sustainable food systems and dietary patterns

Setting-specific implementation of sustainable initiatives such as in hospitals and/or institutional food services (e.g., food waste mitigation and management approaches, Indigenous foods in menus)

Nutrition and food technology, reformulation and other food system adaptations to address sustainability in the context of nutrition and dietetic practice.

Evidence for societal uptake of sustainable food systems and dietary patterns

Step 1: Potential authors should submit an abstract by 15th September 2022 to determine the theme fit to the special issue. Abstracts should be submitted with a subject line including 「JHND Special Issue」 to Dr Liesel Carlsson (liesel.carlsson@acadiau.ca) and cc Dr. Kalliopi Anna Poulia (lpoulia@aua.gr) and Dr. Angela Madden (a.madden@herts.ac.uk).

Step 2: If selected to submit a full manuscript, authors will be notified in October 2022. Once notified, potential authors should visit the website: (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/page/journal/1365277x/homepage/forauthors.html) to review the Instructions for Authors for the specific guidelines for the various types of manuscripts.

All selected manuscripts will undergo standard peer review.

Final manuscripts should be submitted to https://wiley.atyponrex.com/journal/JHN by January 31, 2023. When submitting your manuscript, please choose the special issue title of 「Sustainable Food Systems and Dietary Patterns in Nutrition and Dietetic Practice」 from the dropdown list of 「Additional Information」 section.
